Family Meeting

*Joey and Alec sat there waiting anxiously waiting Jonnie's arrival from the airplane. Sitting in the same airport they recently both entered when they started their new life in London. This time it was Jonnie who needed a fresh start*

[Alec] *watching people come into view* Is that.. no.. wait is that.. no. 

[Joey] Daddy, calm down. She will be here when she gets here. She is on that plane right there, not this one. *shaking her head and smiling* You are going to give yourself a ulser worrying like you do. *holding his hand* Is she okay? 

[Alec] I suppose she will be here soon enough. *watching them taxi in to the terminal* Not much longer now. *squeezing Joey's hand in his* I don't know how she is. I just know that she said she needed to get away and I told her to come home. I know it will be an adjustment for you, but you will make do and be a good sister. *seeing her nod he kisses her forehead* You are my angel you know.

[Joey] *giggling* Oh dad! You always tell me that. I am no angel. I just have your best interest in mind all the time. *seeing people coming off the plane* Okay, come one daddy. Let's go look for Jonnie. 

*they go to the area where people were coming in and wait* 

[Jonnie] *looking at the sleeping child next to her, rubbing his little head waking him up* Ty, hey buddy. We are here. Time to go see Grandpa and Aunt Joey. 

[Ty] *waking up slowly and unbuckling his seat belt* Okay, I am ready. *slipping his hand into hers* Let's go Mommy.

[Jonnie] It's been awhile since you have seen them, do you remember what they look like? *looking at him and watching him smile* Well then big guy. You lead the way and point them out.

[Ty] *leading them out of the plane and up the hallway, pulling away from her as he sees his family* Grandpa! *running into his arms* I missed you so much! *smiling and kissing Joey as she hugs them* 

[Alec] Hey buddy! Look at you. What a handsome little guy you are becoming. You look more and more like your grandpa everyday. *tickling him as they laugh together, then putting him down as he sees Jonnie. with open arms he holds her as she sobs, kissing her head, and holding her close* I am sorry honey. I wish I knew what to do to help you, I hurt too. 

[Joey] *taking Ty's hand* Come on, lets go get you some ice cream. Grandpa and mommy need some time alone. 

[Alec] *smiling at Joey and watching them walk away* Is there anything else left to do? I have to go to Cali to finalize the divorce, I can check on affairs for your mom while I am there. 

[Jonnie] No, It's all in order. I took care of it as much as I could and, *pausing as to not say her step dad* Michael took care of the rest. 

[Alec] He's a good man, your step-father. I hope he will take me up on the offer I made him.

[Jonnie] *pulling away a little to look at him* Offer? 

[Alec] *rubbing her cheek* I told him to come visit, I still want him to be a part of your lives. I told him I'd help with expenses too, if he needed. I know funerals aren't cheap. 

[Jonnie] *squeezing him* Oh daddy! I love you! 

[Alec] I love you too. I always will. *taking her hand and turning her around to see Ty and Joey eating ice cream* How much does he know? 

[Jonnie] Nothing. He just thinks we came here to spend time with you and Joey. I told him we'd go see Jackson play quidditch and maybe Mia could show him around Scotland. How are they by the way? I know what it feels like to lose my mom, but they lost both their parents. Aunt Poppy and Uncle Sloan were the best people ever. 

[Alec] *smiling* Well, Jackson is doing great. He got Jaylee back, I told you that. So Ty will have a little play mate. But, Mia got engaged and the same day she found out she was having a magical pregnancy. Twins none the less. They are due any time now. So we should go visit them very soon. I know you and Jackson are very close. Maybe you should call him? 

[Jonnie] I will. As soon as we get settled that will be one of the first things I do. *watching Joey clean Ty off and turn to head towards them* Well, I guess we should go get our luggage. Will you take Ty so I can talk to Joey? 

[Alec] *kissing her cheek* Of course. *looking at Ty* Come on buddy. Mom said the strong guys have to get the luggage, that is us. Look at the girls, weak! *laughing he takes Ty's hand and they walk off. 

[Jonnie] Hey sis.

[Joey] Hey. *both girls laugh at how lame that was* How are you? Really? 

[Jonnie] I still cry alot, but I have to do it when Ty isn't around. He doesn't know. I am not quite ready to tell him, so I wanted to catch you and give you a head's up. 

[Joey] I don't want to hurt him either, but don't you think he has a right to know that his grandma is gone? *looking at Jonnie and seeing the hurt* I am sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I just.. *sighing and then regaining her composure* I just think it would hurt less if you told him the truth now, and not lie to him. Trust me, lying hurts kids. You've met my mother. Her lying broke my heart. 

[Jonnie] I will tell him, I promise. Just not tonight. *hugging her* How did you get so smart? And Beautiful! *looking her over* What happened to my kid sister? 

[Joey] I stopped eating meat! *laughing as she saw her sister smile* And, remember Evan that I met when I went to visit Mia and Jax? Well, he moved to London and we spend alot of time together. You'd like him. 

[Jonnie] And when will I meet him? 

[Joey] He's probably at the house now, waiting for us to get back. 

[Jonnie] Well, then what are we waiting for, let's go! 

*as they walk through the airport to find their dad and Ty they chit chat and make up for lost time, Jonnie happy that Joey helped make her smile and Joey happy that Jonnie is talking to her like a person and not a little kid* 

[Alec] *watching the girls come into view* Finally, there you two are. We were getting ready to call security to help us find you. *winking* Let's go home. The car is ready, I have all your bags loaded. *picking up Ty he opens the door for the girls as they head to the car* Come on Ty, let's go to your new home.
