[Joey] *squeezing Andy's hand* Now remember, you promised you would be cool. He's my friend and while he knows you are here he might be a little shocked to see us together. *walking a fast pace to the terminal to be there before EJ gets off the plane*
[Andy] *scowling a little* I promised I would be polite. I never promised to be pleasant. I'm just warning you now.
[Joey] *frowning at him and turning to see that his plane is about to unload* Whatever, it will all work out I'm sure
[Andy] *sighing* I promise I'll try to be nice. *wrapping his arm around her shoulder and smiling as people start getting off the plane* For you.
[Evan] *takes a deep breath before making his way down the corridor to the terminal*
[Joey] *seeing Evan she smiles and takes Andy by the hand, walking up to him and giving him a big hug* Hey Evan, how was the flight? *seeing Andy and EJ sizing each other up she steps back and introduces them* Andy, this is Evan, Evan this is Andy.
[Evan] *returns her hug before he extends his hand to Andy* Nice to meet you.
[Andy] *giving Evan a firm handshake* You too. I've heard a lot about you.
[Evan] *swallows* Hopefully not all bad.
[Andy] Not all. *he says before he catches Joey's look* Joey's not really capable of saying bad things about her friends.
[Evan] *smiles at Joey then looks back at Andy* No she isn't is she.
[Joey] Okay, so now we know each other. I promised you some coffee, there is a place up there. Let's go chat for a few while we wait for them to unload Evan's luggage. *smiling widely*
[Andy] *squeezing Joey's hand as if to say "see I'm being nice" they start walking to the coffee shop* Was your flight pleasant Evan?
[Evan] Um... yeah considering I slept most of the time. Pretty uneventful for sure. *shoving his hands in his pockets shoulders slumped slightly*
[Joey] Sleeping on the plane, that makes the trip go faster. So, does Bella know you are here? I haven't said anything.
[Evan] Yeah she and I texted back and forth a little last night. I'll be heading to Scotland to stay with her and her Ryan. But she's getting ready to leave on a holiday with Liam. *chuckles*
[Joey] You will be in Scotland. *squeezing Andy's hand to make sure he heard it* You will have to stop by and see Mia and Elise. Mia is pregnant again. *giggling*
[Andy] Scotland's a lovely country. Too bad you'll be so far away from our place in London though. *smiling a little*
[Evan] Really? That's great. I'm sure they're ecstatic about another baby. It's not that far away. I can always pop in to visit sometime.
[Evan] I thought you were staying with your brothers?
[Joey] *rolling her eyes at Andy and then looking at EJ* I am staying with my brothers. He just lives in the same building. Two floors down.
[Evan] Well isn't that nice and convenient. *smiles at Joey*
[Andy] *giving Evan a wide friendly smile* Yeah, it is isn't it?
[Joey] *sighing loudly* So coffee? Yeah, let's go do that.
[Evan] Coffee yes coffee is good.
[Andy] *going into the coffee shop and finding a table for them, sliding in next to Joey and across from Evan* Do we want some coffee cake as well?
[Joey] I think coffee cake is a great idea. *smiling at Evan*
[Evan] That sounds great I'm always up for food.
[Joey] I know you like to eat. When I get the flat all nice I will invite you over for dinner.
[Evan] *smiles at her* Just tell me when and where. Having dinner with good friends is what makes life worth living right?
[Joey] *smiling back at him hoping the pink in her cheeks is just her imagination* That's right.
[Andy] Yes, friends and food. That'll be grand. *to Joey* We can cook together, your classes are coming along nicely, and I always enjoy spending time in the kitchen with you. *giving her a wink and a smile, then in explanation to Evan* I'm a cook and Joey is a fan of my work in the kitchen. What do you do?
[Evan] I was going to school at the university. I am a history major. So I plan to start that back up at the beginning of next term. Until then I'll be working with Ryan as his assistant. So you are a chef then? *smirks at him* Or just a cook?
[Joey] Maybe we can take a class together. I still need those math credits. *frowning* I hate algebra.
[Andy] I'm actually trained to be a chef, but I prefer a less stressful job of diner cook. It gives me more time to spend with the people I love. I have the rest of my life to be successful, right now I'm young and doing what makes me happy. *smiling at Joey*
[Joey] *glaring at Andy then looking down at the table secretly happy the waitress was there to take the orders* I will have a warm tea with honey, and a black and white cookie please.
[Evan] *smiles at her* I can help you with that. Math isn't my strongest subject but I never have much trouble when it comes down to it. *looks at Andy* I'm sure you'll be successful when you're ready. *looks at the waitress* I'll have a small black coffee please.
[Andy] *to the waitress* A hot cider and a coffee cake? Thank you. *he says as she leaves the table* You're right Evan, I'm sure I will be when I am ready. I think that time's coming actually, I've never had any good reason to want more before, but I feel like that good reason is just around the corner. And besides, Tyler is opening a restaurant and he offered me a chef's position. *to Joey* He just called me last night, I told him I'd think about it.
[Evan] *turns his head and rolls his eyes before turning back to them* Sounds like a great opportunity
[Joey] *smiling at Andy* I knew if Tyler ever opened a restaurant you'd be there with him. *turning to EJ* I will work there too, when I finish school. It's kind of exciting. Knowing Tyler and Jonnie are going to do this together.
[Evan] That is exciting, I remember helping Ryan open his book shop that was a lot of hard work but it was well worth it once the doors opened for the first time.
[Andy] *slouching down in the booth and playing with a sugar packet*
[Joey] That was a fun little place. Remember the cake fight? *laughing* We had fun there. I am sad he sold it.
[Evan] I was a bit sad when he sold it too. Yeah that was fun. You had cake all over you. And it was in both of our hair. Bella shouldn't have bought such a huge cake *winks at her*
[Joey] *laughing out loud and then trying to stop the laughter as the waitress brings them their drinks and food*
[Andy] *sipping his cider and shaking his leg under the table* Well you two promise you won't get into any food fights here. We wouldn't want to be kicked out before Evan's bags arrive would we?
[Evan] *takes his coffee and takes a sip of it* No we wouldn't.
[Joey] *putting her hand on his leg and rubbing it* I promise, no food fights. Beside I want my cookie. *breaking it in half and eating the white side first* Mmm this is good.
[Evan] *chuckles* And I have nothing to throw.
[Andy] *relaxing slightly and having a bit of his cake* You could have. Do you want some of my cake? I can have the waitress bring another plate for you. I'm happy to share. My cake.
[Evan] No thanks you I'm not hungry. And I don't want any cake.
[Joey] *smiling at Andy* That was a sweet. *looking at EJ* For someone who likes to eat that is slightly shocking that you didn't order anything. You can half of my cookie if you want. I don't mind sharing.
[Evan] *smiles at her* No thanks. I'm not really hungry.
[Andy] It's alright sweetie, I understand, guilt does funny things to your stomach. *smiling at Evan* Do you want an antacid?
[Joey] *looking at Andy for a minute before smacking him* You promised! Move let me out, I can't run away from you when I am blocked in a booth.
[Andy] *standing looking ashamed* I promised I would be polite. I offered the man an antacid. What did I do?
[Evan] It's fine. I have to get going and meet Ryan at the university. *stands up* You can call me or text me later if you want to Joey. *to Andy* It was nice meeting you Andy.
[Joey] *running behind EJ* Wait Evan, I'll go with you! *looping her arm in his* Sorry about him.
[Andy] *watching his girlfriend chase after another man, he gruffly pulls a wad of money out of his wallet, laying it on the table without counting it and walking towards his car. Since he knows she can pop wherever she wants to go he decides he'll drive home and call her later. He walks out muttering to himself* Knew I shouldn't have opened up to someone. Stupid Andy, that's what you get for getting attached. Hit it and quit it, that was the plan. As soon as you let someone in they leave you. *he leaves the airport and gets into his car driving away sulking*
